Book-A-Date with Daddy on 31 October 2014
On 31 October 2014, the Media Resource Library Committee organised and held “Book A Date With
Daddy”, an event encouraging fathers to spend quality time with their daughters amidst their busy
schedules.
The theme for the event was Fairy Tales and Fantasy, so the Primary 1 girls came all elegantly dressedas their favourite princess or
fantasy character. 49 dynamic father-and-daughter duos danced to the upbeat tune of “Got To Keep Reading” and tried their hands at
Origami storytelling supervised by Miss Sarah from the National Library. They then enjoyed snacks on their very own colourful picnic mats
as they read books from the National Library together. The little princesses for the day could alsocrystallise their moments in beautiful
pictures at a photo booth. Prizes were given for the best dressed characters. The participants enjoyed themselves and they ended the
afternoon with fond memories and strengthened ties.
